The Alabama State Board of Occupational Therapy seeks to protect the public's welfare, health, and safety by licensing and regulating the practice of occupational therapy to ensure the delivery of occupational therapy services in a safe, competent, and ethical manner.


About Us

Welcome to the Alabama State Board of Occupational Therapy. The Board was created by the State Legislature (ACT 90-383) in 1990 to provide for the regulation of the practice of Occupational Therapy in Alabama.

The mission of this Board is to safeguard the public health, safety, and welfare, and to assure the availability of high quality occupational therapy services to persons of this state in need of such services. We invite your comments and questions via e-mail, fax, telephone or letter.
